Survey helps determine new hours for Florence Library

New, extended hours will come into effect at the Florence Library on September 1, once the Shetland branch closes.

A survey was launched earlier this spring in order to gauge public input on the adjusted hours of operation.

Over the coming months, the Florence Library will also undergo some improvements, such as adding a computer workstation.

The Shetland Library was approved for closure since the site can't be renovated to meet accessibility standards.

The Shetland Library and Florence Library are located less than 10 kilometres from each other.

The new hours of operation for the Florence Library are listed below.

Monday: 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Tuesday: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Wednesday: 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Thursday: 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Friday: Closed

Saturday: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Sunday: Closed
