Firefighter Field Days returns to Corunna this weekend

If you're a fan of firetrucks and live music, Corunna is the place to be this weekend.

The annual Corunna Firefighter Field Days began on Friday and will continue Saturday at the firehall on Hill Street.

Saturday's events will kick off at 11 a.m. with a parade. Hill Street will be closed from Murray Street to Bentinck Street from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

At the firehall, there will be trucks and vintage cars on display, with a focus on fire safety. There will also be a kids' zone, BBQ, games, and the junior firefighter combat challenge.

Saturday night's concerts will feature Noah Leonard from 8:30 p.m. until 10 p.m., and Bad Men Association from 10:30 p.m. to midnight.

Corunna firefighters will be accepting donations to continue restoring the 1925 La France fire truck, which is an original Lambton County truck.

More information can be found on the Corunna Volunteer Firefighters Association's Facebook page.
