Week of Giving for Grayson

The community is rallying around a local teen battling brain cancer.

Grayson Morgado was diagnosed with brain cancer just before Christmas.

Since then, the Lambton Jr. Sting AAA goalie has undergone several rounds of chemotherapy and surgery before he's set to undergo radiation treatment in the United States.

To help support Grayson and his family, the Portuguese Canadian Club of Sarnia is launching a week of giving starting Sunday, June 1 with a bake sale. Coffee, tea, and other beverages will also be available for purchase.

The cash only sale will be held from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the club at 399 Campbell Street.

Other events planned at the hall include a game night, yoga and a 50/50 draw.

The full list of dates and times is posted below:

Tuesday, June 3: Game Night for Grayson. Doors open at 7 p.m. for card game night.

Wednesday, June 4: Portugal vs Germany soccer watch party at 2 p.m.

Thursday, June 5: Yoga for Grayson at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6:45 p.m. $10 for non-members, $5 for members.

The 50/50 draw will be held Thursday evening after Yoga.

Further details are available on the Portuguese Canadian Club of Sarnia's Facebook page.
