Fresh food will be served for a good cause next month.
The Inn of the Good Shepherd will host its annual Surf Inn Turf on Thursday, June 12 at the Four Points by Sheraton in Point Edward on Venetian Boulevard.
The casual gala will have a sit down plated dinner with lobster and beef tenderloin, entertainment, silent and live auctions.
Four Points General Manager Geoff Eisenbraun said the lobsters come from the Maritimes.
"Every year we fly in the lobsters from a small town in Nova Scotia called Bedford, 30 minutes northeast outside of Halifax," he said. "Super fresh, we've got tenderloin from the west coast, and we have a lot of local things coming in as well."
The event will start with the patio reception at 5:30 p.m.
Inn of the Good Shepherd Executive Director Myles Vanni said there will be appetizers, a live band, and games.
"You can spin a wheel and win an extra lobster tail or bottle of wine. We have a little golf challenge this year," he said.
All of the proceeds will go back to the Inn's programming.
"We all know the challenge with the cost of food and there's so much uncertainty around the tariffs and what it's going to do for prices and people are losing jobs, so we know that these dollars are really going to help," Vanni said.
Each ticket comes with the meal, complimentary wine service, door prize ticket, the reception, entertainment, auctions and games.
It is expected to sell out.
Tickets are $150 each or $1,150 for a table of eight and can be purchased on the Inn's website.
