One person was injured in a shooting at Aamjiwnaang First Nation Tuesday evening.
Sarnia police responded to an address on White Circle at around 5 p.m. and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
Police said a bullet travelled through the male victim's left leg, breaking his femur, and continued into his right leg.
The 29-year-old was taken to Bluewater Health and then airlifted to London Health Sciences Centre where he is undergoing treatment.
Police said five people were initially taken into custody for firearms related offences, but four have since been released.
Terrance Lee Nahmabin, 32, of Sarnia is charged with careless use of a firearm, pointing a firearm, assault with a weapon, possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order, unauthorized possession of a firearm, failing to comply with a release order, and two counts of failing to comply with probation.
The investigation is ongoing, however police said at this time it appears the shooting was unintentional.
