Sarnia is among the happiest places to live in Ontario.
A recent study by Statistics Canada (StatsCan) found Sarnia residents had a life satisfaction rate of 46.8 per cent.
The newly released map said over 62 per cent of Sarnians have a strong sense of meaning and purpose.
The Stats Can census also found just under 55 per cent of local residents always or often have a hopeful outlook.
The map also shows how local residents rated their sense of belonging and loneliness.
Collingwood, Ontario reported the highest life satisfaction rate at 64.2 per cent.
Other nearby municipalities that ranked among the highest are Chatham-Kent at 53.2 per cent and London at 42.5 per cent.
Provincewide, 46.3 per cent of respondents reported high life satisfaction.
Stats Can said the data used is from the Canadian Social Survey (CSS), using pooled estimates across 13 waves collected between April 2021 and June 2024.
