The Judith and Norman Alix Foundation is looking to give back to the community again this year.
Foundation Vice President Adam Alix said they've started accepting 2025 funding applications for local capital projects.
Just over 33 per cent of nearly $520,000 in funding announced in 2024 was directed to the St. Clair Region Conservation Authority.

Applications must be submitted by May 1 for consideration.
In its 30 year history, the foundation has helped advance more than $5 million to numerous community projects including; the installation of artificial turf at Norm Perry Park in Sarnia; the construction of the Judith and Norman Alix Art Gallery and cabin renovations for Scouts Canada's Camp Attawandaron.
A significant donation to mental health services for Sarnia-Lambton's youth was made in 2024. The $900,000 contribution is helping with the creation of the Intensive Outreach Treatment (IOT) Program, a three year pilot project that was scheduled to launch this year.
In 2014, a $1 million gift was given to the Bluewater Health Withdrawal Management program.
