A blaze broke out in a home Sunday evening with the St Clair Township Fire Department able to get it under control and extinguished in around an hour.
The fire happened on Jane Street.
The department did not say what caused the fire or what the extent of the damage was. No other information has been released to the public at this time.
Alan Smith will begin his new role with the municipality on July 20.
