The Sarnia Sting had a 4-3 shootout loss Friday night against the visiting Oshawa Generals.
Sarnia's Lukas Fischer scored the first goal of the night two minutes into the second period, followed by Alessandro Di lorio's first goal of the OHL season two minutes later.
Di lorio said getting his first goal was a miracle moment.
"It would have been nice to come out with a win, like (Tyson) said it would've been nice to come out on top but we got a point out of it," he said.
Oshawa followed the two goals with one at the end of the second period. Only 50 seconds into the third the Generals scored again tying up the game at 2-2.
Sarnia's final goal of the evening was nearly nine minutes into the third period by Tyson Doucette.
He said the team has set some goals for when the team is in the lead.
"I think we just have to be smarter when we have the lead and not try to get goals, kind of just doing the basics, finish hits and try to win the game," he said.
The Sting are back on home ice on Sunday against the Flint Firebirds.
You can catch the game live on CHOK (103.9FM/ 1070AM) beginning with the pregame show at 1:30 p.m.
