OPP investigate vandalized rainbow crosswalks

Lambton OPP is asking residents and businesses in Petrolia to check their surveillance systems as officers investigate vandalism to four rainbow crosswalks.

The Town of Petrolia notified the community of two incidents over the weekend.

However, OPP later revealed that two other rainbow crosswalks had been defaced. Police said they were located at Greenfield Street, Blanche Street, Dufferin Avenue, and Maple Street.

Provincial police are encouraging people to check their security systems for any suspicious behaviour on September 22 between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m.
