Shell's Sarnia Manufacturing Centre (SMC) has received the 2024 Best Site Award from the International Benchmarking Consortia (IBC) of Independent Project Analysis.
The Sarnia-Lambton Economic Partnership (SLEP) is recognizing the projects team and its local partners for attaining the prestigious award.
CEO Matthew Slotwinski said the award is a reflection of our community's exceptional local talent and commitment to excellence in project management.
“This award is not only a testament to the exceptional capabilities of the Shell SMC team but also underscores the strength and expertise found within Sarnia-Lambton across both industry and the industrial support ecosystem that allows for these projects to succeed,” Slotwinski said.
The awarding authority is globally recognized in project evaluation, providing rigorous and independent assessments of project performance.
Recipient Daniel Tardif highlighted that all Shell SMC employees and a broad group of core contract partners also deserve recognition, including; CMS Inc., Worley Limited, Tecsar Engineering Inc., Kent PLC, and all Shell’s construction contractors.
“This prestigious award is given annually to only one site globally, so we’re exceptionally proud to have been named best site,” said Tardiff.
The SMC team competed against 19 other sites, representing 12 companies worldwide, including large companies.
