MacDonald signs with OJHL's Flyers

Owen MacDonald and the Sarnia Sting are parting ways.

The Mooretown native has signed a deal with the OJHL's Leamington Flyers for the upcoming year.

The soon-to-be 20-year-old would have been an over-ager for the Sting.

He was limited to just 29 games this past season due to injuries.

Over three seasons with the Sting, the stay at home defenseman played 85 games, and put up six assists.

MacDonald was originally selected 46th overall by the Sting in the 2021 OHL U18 Priority Selection.
