Ontario Law Enforcement Torch Run returns to Sarnia-Lambton

Emergency service members will be in Point Edward Friday for the annual Ontario Law Enforcement Torch Run.

This year's run is anticipated to be the most attended run with several services volunteering in support of Ontario Special Olympics.

Participants are asked to arrive by 10 a.m. at the Waterfront Park parking lot off of Livingstone Street.

The run will start at the Blue Water Bridge at 10:30 a.m. and finish at the Sarnia courthouse on Christina Street. 

The route will go east on Michigan Avenue, south on Colborne Road and then turn on Errol Road West.

There will be members from the Ontario Provincial Police, Sarnia Police Service, Canada Border Service Agency, Sarnia Jail and Sarnia Probation are all participating.

Following the run there will be a barbeque.

Anyone looking to donate can do so on the day of the event by cash or cheques made payable to Ontario Special Olympics.
