A former Lambton County man who murdered his wife will try again to be released from prison.
A Parole Board of Canada hearing for Donald Campbell is set for Wednesday, May 15.
He is seeking unescorted temporary absences.
Campbell, now in his 70s, was convicted of first degree murder in the January 1998 death of 45-year-old Fenny Campbell of Wyoming and sentenced to life in prison, with eligibility for full parole after 25 years.
Last summer, the Parole Board of Canada denied his request for both unescorted temporary absences and day parole.
Campbell was also denied an appeal for early parole in 2018.
Over the years, Campbell's three children have been vocal in their continued fight for justice for their mother, and adamant that their father stay behind bars.
