A GoFundMe page has been launched to help out a Corunna family following a devastating fire over the weekend.
Fire officials said the blaze started at the exterior of the garage and made its way up the roof. Damage is estimated at $300,000.
Family friend and neighbour Tara Lindsay is hoping to raise $25,000 to help Chuck and Jess Edgar and their two young children.
"They're really good people," said Lindsay. "It's just heartbreaking. My heart goes out to them. It was nightmarish watching it all happen and unfold and not being able to do anything except witness it. My thoughts and prayers are with the family right now."
Lindsay said the fire not only destroyed their home, but claimed all their belongings.
"They can't even get into their house right now, it's structurally unsound and all boarded up," she said.
She's launched a GoFundMe page to help the family purchase the essentials including clothing.
"They weren't really concerned about themselves right now, again that's just them," said Lindsay. "They're concerned about the kids and looking for clothing, shoes and boots for the kids."
