COVID-19 outbreak at Bluewater Health

A COVID-19 outbreak has been declared at Bluewater Health in Sarnia.

This is after fewer than five patients and fewer than five staff have been confirmed positive in the Cognitively Complex Continuing Care Unit (CCCOG).

According to a news release, one on one visitation is still permitted for CCCOG patients.

Visitors will be required to monitor daily for symptoms and wear PPE when in the unit.

Currently, there are 10 COVID positive patients at the hospital.

Nine young volunteers aged 11 to 17 spent three days exploring and protecting the Lake Huron coastline during the Coastal Conservation Youth Corps' inaugural program in Grand Bend from July 21 to 23.
