Ghosts, goblins and ghouls will be making their way to Canatara Park on Saturday, October 28 for the second annual Fright Night at Cana-Scare-A Park.
The event is hosted by the City of Sarnia, Seaway Kiwanis Club, and the Painted Cat.
Sarnia Recreation Superintendent Randy Shaw said it features a dozen activities, including self-guided haunts for all ages, and trick-or-treat stations.
"This year's event features many haunted houses and areas that people can explore at their own pace," he said. "Witches' Coven, graveyards, train rides through the Spider Den, haunted story walks, and just lots of events that are going to be fun and exciting for people."
Shaw said other attractions include a twisted maze, and a photo-op area.
"There's almost too many to mention," he said. "But on our website, under the events page, you'll see a map with everything kind of laid out, and it's a great feature that we have there and everyone can see what's going on."
The event runs from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. near the Animal Farm.
Shaw said last year's inaugural Fright Night was very well received.
"One of the reasons we have this event is because for over 45 years, the City of Sarnia and the Seaway Kiwanis Club have partnered to host fun and exciting events," he said. "And this is another opportunity to build community spirit."
Shaw said to facilitate Fright Night, Cathcart Boulevard will be closed west of Lake Chipican Drive on Saturday from noon to 11 p.m. He said parking is available at the Canatara Park Beach Lot, and around the large open field in the centre of the park.
