The effort to recruit new employees into the child care sector continues locally.
A career fair this week will highlight employment opportunities at all Lambton County licensed child care organizations, including jobs available at London Bridge Child Care Services.
Interim Executive Director Anne Marie Coughlin said the event will be open to the public to network, apply for positions, discuss opportunities, learn more about the industry and gather information for friends and family who may be interested.
“High-quality licensed child care is important while nurturing curious minds and kind hearts,” said Coughlin. “By supporting child care workforce growth, we are supporting economic growth across Lambton County."
London Bridge runs two child care centres in Sarnia; the Oak Ave and St. Bartholomew’s Early Childhood Learning Centres.
It also runs child care centres, before and after school programs, and summer camps in Huron County and London.
The WorkPlace Group will be in attendance to provide employment-related support and discuss potential free training opportunities.
The career fair is being held at the Sarnia Legion on Front Street North, Thursday, September 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
No pre-registration is required for the drop-in event.
