Youth Group programming is returning to Theatre Sarnia.
Youth Engagement Coordinator Jackie Burns said they're also launching a full youth musical program for the first time ever.
"We will actually be staging a full production of Frozen Junior," said Burns. "So students will be cast in a role, and they will have acting rehearsals, singing rehearsals, dancing rehearsals, and they'll put all that together to really work through the process of doing a full musical."
She said the 11 week acting program, open to students from grades four to 11, will cover all the fundamentals of acting and theatre, including scene work, and character development. It starts on September 11 and the musical program begins September 21 for students in grades four through nine.
Burns said space is limited.
"Before COVID, the Youth Group Program was a huge part of Theatre Sarnia and then once the pandemic hit we had to refocus a little bit," she said. "So it's been going through some different looks and different things a we reintroduce the programming post-COVID. So, this will be our first real full season since the pandemic."
