Unsolved murder marks 35 years

Investigators are still hoping to solve the brutal murder of Morag Davies as Friday marks the 35th anniversary of her tragic death.

Davies was a real estate agent in Sarnia who was well-known within the business community.

She was last seen alive on August 23, 1988, by a co-worker who left her home on Retlaw Drive at around 10:30 p.m. or 11 p.m.

The same co-worker went back to Davies' home on August 25,1988, after she didn't show up for work.

Davies' body was found in her bedroom with multiple stab wounds, however, a murder weapon was never found.

The 45-year-old had only lived at the north-end residence for three or four weeks.

"Through the years since this murder Sarnia Police have pursued numerous leads," read a post on Sarnia-Lambton's Crime Stoppers website. "Unfortunately, none of these leads have yielded evidence against the killer,"

Crime Stoppers is appealing for tips from the public. Anonymous tips can be called in to 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or online at p3tips.com.
