A new initiative is launching at the Judith & Norman Alix Art Gallery for residents to enjoy on Saturdays throughout the month of August.
"Family Saturday" will begin on August 5 and will be held between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
Attendees will take part in a short, artist-facilitated studio activity inspired by the Humans of Lambton exhibition, which opened on August 4.
The focus of these sessions will be on cyanotype portraits. These types of prints are the result of exposure to ultraviolet light.
"Inspired by Steven Livick’s iconic portraits, participants will create photographic prints using one of the oldest processes in the history of photography, cyanotype printing," read a media release.
There is no admission fee but children must be accompanied by an adult.
Meanwhile, the Humans of Lambton exhibit features the work of local teens who participated in a recent photo contest.
The art gallery is located in downtown Sarnia on Lochiel Street.
