Golden K donates $4,200 to Train Your Brain

Literacy Lambton has received a $4,200 boost from the Kiwanis Club of Sarnia-Lambton Golden K.

Earlier this month, Kiwanis Past President Tony Wheeler presented Literacy Lambton Executive Director Tracy Pound with the donation.

The funding will support the non-profit's Train Your Brain program, a free initiative for children in grades 3 and 4 that aims to improve math and reading skills, and build confidence.

Kiwanis raised the money by volunteering through the Jackpot Time Sarnia Bingo program -- it allows a portion of the money raised to be donated to the charities and non-profit organizations that volunteer at the facility.

In a media release, Kiwanis said they have been long-time supporters of Literacy Lambton, in particular through money raised at Jackpot Time.
