Emergency vehicles on Hwy. 402 Westbound after a motorcycle crash (Photo courtesy of Ontario 511 Traffic Cameras)Lambton OPP say a motorcycle driver, who was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a single-vehicle crash on Highway 402 Thursday afternoon, has died.
Emergency crews responded to the westbound lanes between Mandaumin Road and Airport Road, before 3 p.m.
The roadway was closed for a couple of hours but re-opened at around 5:30 p.m.
OPP later said the motorcyclist, a 66-year-old from the United States died as a result of their injuries.
Alan Smith will begin his new role with the municipality on July 20.
