City looking for land buyers

An 11.5-acre parcel of land within the Sarnia Business and Research Park is up for sale.

The land is owned by the City of Sarnia and was designated as surplus during a council meeting in early June.

Mayor Mike Bradley had previously said there was a "very interested/active party in that particular piece of land."

A public notice period began on July 6 and will remain in effect for 21 days.

The land is located between London Line and Perch Creek, in the northern portion of the business park.

The Sarnia Business and Research Park is zoned as light industrial, compatible with uses such as warehouses, truck terminals, offices, and research and development establishments.

Once the public notice period expires, city staff will start accepting offers or expressions of interest from buyers.

Expressions of interest will be reviewed by the city solicitor before they are taken to the city council for consideration.
