A Sarnia man is facing weapons charges after allegedly shooting another man with a BB gun during a fight.
At around 4 p.m. Tuesday, city police responded to the shooting in the area of Talfourd Street at Proctor Street. The 43-year-old suspect was arrested a short time later near Brock Street and Wellington Street.
Police located the replica handgun concealed in the man's pants. Officers also located knives on the accused, who was in breach of his pre-existing weapons probation.
The suspect was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and failing to comply with a probation order. He was being held pending a bail hearing.
The man who was shot suffered minor injuries and left the area, not wanting to be involved in the police investigation.
