Possible improvements to the intersection of Petrolia Line and Kimball Road will be discussed publicly on Wednesday, June 28.
County of Lambton Construction Supervisor Glen Hamill said BT Engineering was retained to complete an environmental assessment of the St. Clair Township intersection.
"The public meeting will show the review that they've done and they'll have the assessments and take a look at options and also come up with recommendations," he said.
Hamill said four options will be considered.
"The first one is to do nothing, which is not where we want to go," he said. "One of the options is a roundabout, there's a possibility of traffic lights and a four-way stop. [The consultants] do very well at explaining what outcome would come from each one of those options. Right now, it's a stop condition north/south on Kimball and east/west is free flowing."
The public consultation will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion on Albert Street in Corunna from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
"There will be boards set up and displays that people can ask questions [about] and then at 7 p.m. our consultant will do a presentation," Hamill said.
Hamill said the consultant will compile information gathered from the public meeting and assess and review it with their report to determine a recommendation.
"There will be many different factors to go along with each option, being property purchases and other utilities and all these areas," he said.
