Seniors cruise sets sail Monday

Sarnia's beloved seniors cruise along the St. Clair River sets sail Monday.

The annual tradition was started in 1978 by former CHOK Hotline host, the late Peter Henderson.

As many as 2,000 seniors have been known to make their way down to the Front St. dock, in Centennial Park, to enjoy a free ride on the Duc d'Orleans II each year.

Tickets are first come, first served, starting at 8 a.m.

Departure times are 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m., Noon, 1:30 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Organizers said lunch will be served at around 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

There will also be live music and vendors along the waterfront for people to enjoy while they wait to board.
