A 38-year-old Sarnia man is in stable condition in London hospital after being stabbed in the back and shot multiple times with a pellet gun.
Sarnia police said the incident happened early Tuesday morning on Shepherd Street, between Confederation Street and Talfourd Street, and the parties were not known to each other.
Police said the victim was walking alone when a confrontation ensued with three individuals. The altercation turned physical and the victim was assaulted.
Officers arrested the three suspects without further incident, and recovered the weapons.
Denver MacDonald, 23, of Sarnia, Desiree Lasenby, 20, of Sarnia, and a young offender, are each charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, disguise with intent, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Lasenby also faces charges of failing to comply with probation, and disobeying a court order.
The young offender faces an additional charge of possession of a prohibited weapon.
All three suspects were held for bail hearings.
