New website highlights what Sarnia has to offer

The City of Sarnia has launched a new website for visitors and tourists.

The new microsite, www.exploresarnia.ca, provides information for those planning a trip to the city.

Director of Economic Development Kelly Provost said the site follows the department's success with the launch of the Invest Sarnia website and the updating of the Sarnia Airport and Harbour websites.

"We know that websites are the most common tool that people use to plan their trips and visits and to look for activities while they're here," said Provost. "So we've designed the site to promote local attractions, accommodations and activities, and specifically includes things like a list of trails, parks, facilities and walking tours, a photo gallery, an event calendar, a directory of accommodations and a plan your trip guide."

The site, officially launched on May 18, also provides links to Tourism Sarnia-Lambton for additional resources.

"I would say the site is a great place for residents and visitors to see what's happening around the city," said Provost.

She said the website will be further developed and maintained by city staff, and may include additional features in the future.
