Ticket sales going well for Rebound's adult prom

It appears many are eager for a second chance to attend prom as ticket sales have been good for Sarnia-Lambton Rebound's Forever Young Prom.

The fundraising event for those 19 and up will be held on June 10 at Lambton College.

Fund Development and Marketing Coordinator Maddisyn Fisher said they have about 75 tickets left.

"Which is phenomenal! So we're really hoping we can get to that sold-out point before the event," said Fisher.

While some attendees have specified their interest in dressing up in retro attire, while others are opting to go "full glam."

"Everyone is just super excited and it's been really well received and I'm very thankful for that," said Fisher. "A lot of people are just really thankful that they get a second chance at it, especially for people who have beloved partners in their lives and significant others that they didn't get to go to prom with, now they get to relive that magical event with that person."

Most of the last-minute planning details have been completed but Fisher said there are still a couple of sponsorship packages available. Those interested in sponsoring the event can "jump on board" by contacting Rebound.

Money raised through the event will go toward youth programming. Rebound currently operates 18 programs, serving youth between the ages of eight and 24.
