Damage is estimated at $50,000 after an attic fire in St. Clair Township.
According to Fire Chief Richard Boyes, the call for a fire at 1848 Charlemont Line came in at 4:34 p.m. on Friday.
The owners were home at the time of the fire. One person sustained minor injuries trying to extinguish the fire and was treated on the scene by paramedics.
"The cause was a cooking fire that spread to the attic," said Boyes.
The Station 6 Becher firefighters were assisted by Station 4 Wilkesport and Station 5 Port Lambton.
