Fire crews are investigating the cause of a fire that broke out Thursday evening in Sarnia's south end.
Damage is estimated at around $120,000 after the blaze on Talfourd Street, near Siddal Street.
Sarnia Fire and Rescue responded shortly before 5 p.m.
Chief Fire Prevention Officer Roel Bus said when they arrived, there was visible smoke coming from the front porch of the single storey home.
"And there was also some smoke coming from the eavestrough. That indicated that it may have breached into the attic," said Bus. "They quickly laddered, ventilated, and extinguished the fire. They kept most of the damage to the front porch and some minor damage to the attic."
Bus said no one was home at the time, and no injuries were reported.
