The Sarnia Sting sent London back home after a 6-1 win over the Knights Friday night.
Luca Del Bel Belluz and Sasha Pastujov each scored twice for the win at Progressive Auto Sales Arena.
“That’s a great team win, obviously,” said Sting defenceman Ryan Mast. “London’s a pretty big rival of ours, so it’s great to get two points against them.”
Sandis Vilmanis and Nolan Burke also scored as the Sting gripped their third-place rank in the Western Conference by extending their point streak to nine games.
“London’s a great challenge,” said Sasha Pastujov. "But … we show up and bring our work boots, I don’t think there’s a team that can beat us.”
The Sting held the Knights below 10 shots in each period and 24 overall.
"We've seen them (London) a lot so you know what they're coming with and their offense," said Pastujov. "I think the key is to get on them early."
The Sarnia Sting visit the Windsor Spitfires Saturday night, coverage on CHOK (103.9 FM/1070 AM) beginning with the pre-game at 6:30 p.m., puck drops at 7:05 p.m.
