A roundabout is proposed for a rural intersection in Plympton-Wyoming.
During an Intersection Control Study (ICS) it was determined the intersection of London Line and Forest Road will need to be reconstructed as part of the London Line/Egremont Road rehabilitation project.
Lambton County Manager of Public Works Matt Deline told councillors during Wednesday's A.M. Committee meeting, that this allows for infrastructure and safety improvements at the rural intersection.

"There's been numerous collisions at this location," said Deline. "The most recent ones have been determined to be a failure to yield, there's also been several fatalities in the last three years as well."
Deline said the intersection itself is at the end of its life cycle.
"It's an older design from the MTO that we inherited when it was downloaded," he said. "One reason that we're looking at this improvement, as well as safety, is the fact that capital improvement of the road is needed as well."
The intersection currently features oversized STOP signs, advanced STOP Ahead signs, as well as red and amber solar flashers.
County council will consider the recommendation to install a single lane roundabout at London Line and Forest Road during capital budget talks on March 1, 2023.
The project is estimated at $2.4 million.
