A Canadian mystery novel has been selected for the 2023 One Book Lambton feature.
The initiative, launched in 2019-2020, aims to promote Canadian authors and encourage residents of Lambton County to read the same book during the colder months.
Canadian author Louise Penny has won multiple literary awards for Still Life in 2006 and 2007.
"The locals are certain it is a tragic hunting accident and nothing more, but Gamache is soon certain that Jane Neal died at the hands of someone much more sinister than a careless bowhunter," read a media release from Lambton County Library.
Programs and events associated with the book will be held between January and April.
The last One Book Lambton novel chosen was a memoir written by Olympian Perdita Felicien, who visited Sarnia for a book signing in April 2022.
