Shelves at the Inn of the Good Shepherd food bank were re-stocked with the help of a recent food drive.
Last weekend, residents donated 11,775 pounds of food at the COOL 106.3 food drive at Home Depot.
The event also raised $5,760 for the inn, up from about $2,000 in 2021.
Executive Director Myles Vanni said prior to the pandemic, the inn would spend about $5,000 a month on food, but that has spiked to about $25,000.
On average, the food bank feeds about 2,475 people every month, 940 of them children.
