A Brigden apartment building was evacuated briefly Wednesday morning for a small fire.
St. Clair Township Fire Chief Richard Boyes said the call came in just before 10 a.m.
"Brigden station responded to 2444 Jane St., Brigden Park Place, it's the seniors apartment building, for the report of smoke in the building," said Boyes.
The smouldering fire was discovered by a resident and another resident activated the manual pull station fire alarm.
Boyes said there was no significant damage to the building, or to the unit itself.
"So the cause of the fire was determined to be a piece of cloth that got into the wall-mounted electric heat and was ignited by the heater," he said.
No injuries were reported.
Corunna and Wilkesport stations also responded to the call.
