Imperial Theatre gets ready for capital campaign

Imperial Theatre is hoping to complete some sound and lighting improvements with funds raised through its capital campaign fundraiser in the spring.

Tim Hummel and The Bluewater Big Band will take the stage on Sunday, April 2, 2023, at 2 p.m. The event features local talent such as Brent Wilkinson, Erin Innes, Denise Chaulk, Brian Soulard, and Michelle Soulard.

Executive Director Brian Austin Jr. said this is the theatre's fourth event working with the Bluewater Big Band and it "always sells out."

Tickets can be purchased online for $30 each.

Money raised will be used toward upgrades and improvements to better the theatre experience for members and patrons.

"Right now we're looking at doing lighting fixture upgrades so that'll improve our lighting capabilities for performances. We're also looking at replacing our wireless microphones," said Austin Jr. "We're also looking at upgrading other aspects of the facility and our production facilities."

Tickets are also available at the box office Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. or Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. or by calling the box office at (519) 344-7469.
