The Sarnia Sting look to keep the momentum going to start the OHL season.
The club is 2-0 through its first two games following victories in Kitchener and Windsor.
They'll host the Saginaw Spirit Friday night in the home opener at Progressive Auto Sales Arena.
General Manager Dylan Seca is pleased with the hot start.
"So far, so good," said Seca. "We're not having incredibly high expectations as of yet but it's always nice to win on the road, especially in those two barns."
Seca said developing team chemistry is an ongoing process.
"We had 11 guys away at NHL camps, so we actually haven't had our group together," he said. "Other than the past week it's been kind of patch work. We're really excited about Ty Voit, a Maple Leafs pick who had an electric season last year. Same with Ben Gaudreau, our goaltender who was drafted to San Jose. I'm pretty excited to see how he'll turn out this season too."
Voit leads the way in the early going with four points, while Gaudreau was named last week's OHL goaltender of the week.
New faces to look out for this season include rookies Porter Martone, Tyson Doucette and Carson Campbell, as well as imports Marcus Limpar-Lantz and Sandis Vilmanis.
As always, you can hear tonight's contest on CHOK, beginning with the pregame show at 6:30 p.m.
