A fake bomb threat that resulted in a shelter in place at Lambton College is still under investigation.
Just before noon on Monday, a call was made to Sarnia police advising of a bomb at the London Road School. Motorists were advised to avoid the area and day-campers at the school were evacuated.
Cst. Nelson Amaral said the "all clear" was issued just after 1:30 p.m. and the threat was determined to be unfounded.
"At this time the investigation continues regarding these fake threats," said Amaral. "We are asking anyone with information on this matter to contact the Sarnia Police Service Criminal Investigation Division at 519-344-88961 extension 5300."
Amaral said a similar call was made in a neighbouring jurisdiction during the lockdown in Sarnia.
London police reported a call of a suspicious package at King's College, but determined almost immediately it was a fake call because it came from out of country. Out of an abundance of caution, police searched the building and found nothing.
Last month, Sarnia police and Lambton OPP charged several youths after threatening messages were found at three local high schools.
