Golf carts are not meant for the road. That warning comes from Lambton OPP.
The police service has received several complaints recently from residents in the Port Franks area about the carts being driven on the road in the community.
OPP said golf carts don't have seatbelts, horns, lighting or insurance to be operating on the road.
Operators are reminded to keep the carts on the golf course and campground, or risk getting a ticket.
Reminder that Golf carts are not considered motor vehicles and are not permitted on roadways in @CountyofLambton. Many don't have seatbelts, horns, lighting, permits or insurance to be operating on the road. #LambtonOPP will be enforcing applicable laws in the coming weeks.^jb pic.twitter.com/KAPV0KFZDu
