Hospital makes changes for those visiting in-patients

Bluewater Health is increasing the number of care partners allowed to visit in-patients at a time.

The hospital moved from one to two bedside Designated Care Partners (DCP) for in-patients in all units this week. The total number of DCPs per patient is still four.

Those who attend Bluewater Health for out-patient appointments and require assistance can have one person accompany them.

Regular visiting hours at the hospital are from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The hospital network said current practices may change or revert back, depending on the risk level of COVID-19 transmission.

Masks are still required at Bluewater Health.
