Sarnia police constables honoured for their bravery

The Sarnia Police Service says two of its officers have been recognized by the province with the Ontario Medal for Police Bravery for their outstanding courage.

Police said Cst. Adam Williamson and Cst. Greg Babcock received the honour for their handling of an incident that occurred in 2021.

They were dispatched to a call that police said had reached a very critical stage and could have ended in the serious bodily harm or death of the victim. Not only did they save the individual from harm, but they were also able to take the accused into custody in a safe and effective manner.

Due to the nature surrounding the call, details will not be made available to protect those involved.

Cst. Williamson and Cst. Babcock were recognized for their actions by the Province of Ontario on Friday, April 22, 2022, via a video conference call.
