Officers said a pedestrian who was crossing Capel Street, just north of Maxwell Street, shortly after 11 a.m. Thursday was struck by a vehicle travelling southbound on Capel Street.
The intersection was closed for a few hours and reopened to traffic around 3 p.m.
The investigation is ongoing.
