Sarnia man wins $1M

A 55-year-old Sarnia man has bulked up his retirement savings after winning a guaranteed $1 million Lotto 6/49 prize.

William Nahmabin won with a ticket for the March 2 Lotto 6/49 draw.

The frequent lottery player said he always picks his own numbers and checked his winning ticket at a store while getting groceries.

While picking up his winnings at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto, Nahmabin said he plans to save for retirement.

"I never expected to win – this makes life more comfortable," said Nahmabin in a statement.

The winning ticket was purchased at Seo Mini Mart on Exmouth Street in Sarnia.
