Local schools send items to support Ukraine

A couple of local Catholic schools have collected items to send to Ukraine to support those affected by the war.

Students and staff from Holy Rosary in Wyoming and St. Philip Catholic School in Petrolia, collected items including diapers, first aid supplies, and socks.

“Our school was recently approached by Holy Rosary Catholic School, where two students attend who are formerly from the Ukraine,” said St. Philip Principal Joanne McCreery in a statement. “Our goal was to collect everyday items and get them into the hands of the Ukrainian people, who are in tremendous need.”

Items collected during the humanitarian campaign were delivered to the London Ukrainian Centre, which will be shipped to Ukraine.
