UPDATE: Health unit temporarily relocated services at main Point Edward location off-site

Lambton Public Health has resumed access to its main office in Point Edward after services were temporarily relocated off-site due to border protests in the area.

In a news release Wednesday afternoon, the health unit said the safety of staff, clients and community partners that access services at the facility are of utmost importance.

"Restricted access to the facility is already in place due to pandemic response priorities," the notice read. "The temporary relocation of the (main) office will impact services currently available that utilize a modified access approach."

Public access to the Sexual Health Clinic and Harm Reduction supplies were temporarily closed and community partners that access the facility for supplies were informed directly of alternative options.

Access to the main office resumed on Thursday, including public access to the Sexual Health Clinic, Harm Reduction supplies and restricted access to the facility based on service changes related to COVID-19.

All main phone lines are available by calling 519-383-8331 or the Vaccine Call Centre at 226-254-8222.
