Warwick Township has approved its 2022 budget, which includes a zero per cent tax increase for residents.
The $16.12 million document includes $4.06 million for major capital projects.
Council voted to take $2 million from reserves for capital projects, and an additional $200,000 for operating costs.
Originally planned items like the paving of a municipal parking lot, and an economic development study were cut from the final document.
Mayor Jackie Rombouts said there are a few things that she's excited about this year.
"I'm looking forward to the expansion onto our arena which is going to be a new multi-purpose community centre in partnership with the YMCA, we're super excited about that," said Rombouts. "Our downtown revitalization is continuing as well, so there's a lot of things happening in Warwick Township."
Rombouts said they continue to have the lowest tax rate in Lambton county.
"It explains a lot of why we're seeing the economic development that we are because people are realizing that you can live with lower taxes and lower development charges out in a rural community."
