BASES offers audio notifications through hotline

Sarnia-Lambton residents are encouraged to look at the available options to receive community awareness notifications from Bluewater Association for Safety, Environment, and Sustainability (BASES).

BASES launched a new hotline at the beginning of January. Audio messages will automatically post to the hotline as well as the website, lambtonbases.ca, which launched in May 2021.

The BASES Hotline can be reached at 1-226-778-4611. Notification will also be posted through the My Community Notification Network (My CNN) application.

"This level of communication demonstrates a clear commitment by BASES member companies to the community through open, timely, and transparent updates for non-emergency and emergency events," read a media release. "Should an incident require action from the public, instructions will be provided by municipal emergency response leaders, which will be communicated using these same tools established by CAER (Community Awareness & Emergency Response)."

BASES General Manager Vince Gagner was unavailable for comment prior to publication.
