Several businesses and organizations will not open Wednesday morning as the province moves into a modified Stage Two of its Roadmap to Reopen plan.
Enhanced restrictions, announced on Monday, came into effect at 12:01 a.m. on Wednesday and will remain in place until at least January 26.
As such, the Library Theatre at the Sarnia Library will be closed for 21 days. Performances and bookings during the specified timeframe have been cancelled.
The Mooretown Library has also temporarily closed and curbside pick-up services have been suspended. Patrons are asked to return items to nearby libraries such as Corunna and Sombra.
The remaining 24 Lambton County Library locations will remain open at 50 per cent capacity. Although services will continue to be offered at those locations, patrons are encouraged to use eLibrary services.
Lambton County’s gallery, museums, and archives are temporarily closed to the public. Any pre-scheduled bookings between January 5 and January 26 have been cancelled.
Online exhibits and virtual programs will be available through the Lambton museums' website or through the Judith & Norman Alix Art Gallery's website.
The Petrolia YMCA and Greenwood Recreation Centre will remain closed for at least three weeks.
The planned production by the Petrolia Community Theatre of “Sandy Toes and Salty Kisses” scheduled to take place in April has been cancelled. Donation requests and ticket sales for MUDMEN at Victoria Hall will be available by telephone only at (519) 882-1221 or 1-800-717-7694. However, MUDMEN has been postponed from January 22 to Friday, March 4. Ticket holders will be contacted this week.
Meanwhile, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation has also said gaming facilities, including Charitable Gaming Centres, will be closed.
OLG winners will still be able to attend the Prize Centre in Toronto by appointment. Prize claims between $1,000 and $49,999.90 can be submitted online or by mail at this time.
